At 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, Dr. John Richard, Superintendent Perry Schools, Barry Mason, Business Manager of Perry Schools, Bob Schnabel, VP of Perry School Board met with Chuck Taylor, President of Perry History Club, and Steve Toohey, 2nd VP and Stan Krawson, Secretary, to receive control of the old Genoa one room schoolhouse.
The History Club is dedicated to restoring the 117 year old building. They have raised over $7,000 since their beginning in April 2007. The basic building is structurally sound but as the pictures indicate, much work needs to be done. They hope the citizens and businesses of the Township will get behind the the project with their time, talent and money to help preserve this piece of history.

Alumni Club Meeting May 5th
OPEN to ALL PHS alumni WEDNESDAY, May 5th – 6:45pm at the Pfeiffer Middle School Library
Please join us for an informal meeting to revive this organization. We need participation from all of you. Your help would be greatly appreciated. We are aware that some alums are out of town/state, and we understand that you will not be attending the meeting. We are trying to line up the ability to webcast the meeting, but may just wait until the nex meeting as this first session will focus largely on organizational issues.
If you have any suggestions and/or comments, we post any addition info on at the meeting here and through the Perry High School Alumni Facebook Group.
